12 suspects arrested in Bangkok shopping areas

 

 

          On 23rd August 2017 the DIP, the Economic Crime Suppression Division and representatives of foreign brand owners, inspected Bangkok Metropolitan area. The officials arrested and seized the counterfeit good from infringing activities in 2 areas as follows:

1.  At Pratunam Market, the officials found 7 infringing activities and arrested 5 suspects. 3,561 counterfeit goods such as shirts and trousers that had trademarks of many brand names such as CHANEL, Gucci, ADIDAS, Reebok, CONVERSE, Vans and NIKE were seized

2.  At Patpong Night Market, the officials found 8 infringing activities and arrested 7 suspects. The officials seized Tiffany & Co., Rolex, CHANEL, OMEGA, Calvin Klein, Hublot, BVLGARI, Luminor, AUDEMARS PIGUET, Gucci, Burberry, Cartier, Patek Philippe and Franck Muller fake products in a total of 933.
