Operations on 5th September 2017 10,267 Counterfeit goods seized in Bangkok Metropolitan areas

 

 

          On 5th September 2017 the DIP, the Economic Crime Suppression Division and representatives of trademark owners inspected various shopping areas in Bangkok. From the inspections the officials found infringing activities in 3 areas as follows:

1. At Sua Pa Plaza, the officials found an infringing activity and arrested a suspect.  Fake mobile phone cases in total of 91 items that copied KENZO and Yves Saint Laurent were seized.

 

2. At Patpong Night Market, the officials found 10 infringing activities and arrested 6 suspects. 614 items of fake watches, wallets, handbags and pens that copied different trademarks namely Rolex, CHANEL, OMEGA, CHOPARD and Calvin Klein were seized.    

 

3. At Rhino Shop located on Banthadthong Road, the officials found an infringing activity and arrested a suspect. The officials seized Liverpool FC, Manchester United FC, Adidas and Nike counterfeit products such as clothes , hats , stickers that in total of 9,562 items.
